Contract Ended with Miguel Campos

Ukrainian club Olexandriya has officially ended its partnership with Portuguese defender Miguel Campos, who will not extend his deal beyond June 30, 2026. As a result, Campos is now a free agent. The club thanked the player for his professionalism and contributions to the team's performance, wishing him success in his future career.

Campos' Time at Olexandriya

Miguel Campos made his debut for Olexandriya on February 26 in a 0-0 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. During his tenure with the club, the defender appeared in:

  • 61 Ukrainian Premier League matches, scoring 6 goals;
  • 2 Ukrainian Cup games;
  • 2 Conference League matches;
  • 2 UPL promotion/relegation playoffs.

Olexandriya's management has decided against major coaching changes, keeping Volodymyr Sharan as head coach. This marks Sharan's third stint in charge, having taken over in March of this year. The team was relegated to the First League this season, and the coaching staff has been tasked with winning the First League title and securing gold medals.

This decision signals a new chapter for the club as it aims to reclaim its place in Ukraine's top football division. By retaining Sharan, Olexandriya is sticking with its strategy to improve on-field results. Meanwhile, Campos' free-agent status opens up fresh opportunities for his career elsewhere, which could also lead to roster and tactical shifts for Olexandriya's future opponents.

As Olexandriya embarks on this new phase with Volodymyr Sharan at the helm, understanding the implications of his continued leadership is crucial. Sharan's experience could significantly influence the team's strategy and performance in the upcoming season.
