Many participants in combat operations who have retired due to age face problems receiving additional payments for exceeding the standard work experience. Even with a significant number of years worked, they receive compensation only for a limited period.
'I have the right to a pension with 25 years of work experience, but I have worked for 37. Why is the supplement calculated only for two years, and not for 12?'
One such pensioner, Vladimir Onishchuk, was disappointed when, after 37 years of insurance experience, he received an additional payment to his pension only for two years beyond the norm.
Analysis of the situation by an expert
According to pension expert Sergey Korobkin, the law establishes certain conditions for determining the amount of additional payments to pensioners. In particular, the supplement for exceeding the standard work experience is calculated only for the years exceeding 35 years for men and 30 years for women. For each 'extra' year, the pensioner receives 1% of the base pension, but no more than 1% of the minimum pension by age.
Retired pensioners face problems receiving the supplement for exceeding the standard work experience, even with a significant number of years worked. Legislation provides for a supplement only for the years that exceed certain experience thresholds for men and women. Each year beyond these thresholds gives the right to 1% of the base pension, but no more than 1% of the minimum pension by age.
