The US Senate voted to allocate one billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine. The decision was made on July 31, 2025, and is now awaiting confirmation from the entire Senate and the House of Representatives.
According to Reuters, the bill provides for the allocation of 800 million dollars under the USAI and another 225 million for the Baltic Security Initiative, which may be crucial for Ukraine.
Although three committee members opposed it, 26 supported the allocation of funds. However, the proposal is complicated by the position of President Trump's administration, which is asking not to include aid for Ukraine in the federal budget. After both chambers approve it, the law will be sent to the president for signature.
Ukraine has received substantial assistance from the US, although its purpose may be complicated by the position of the president's administration. Now they are awaiting the next steps in the consideration of the bill.
