Flooding of the dam in Belgorod region affected the combat actions of Russian troops in Kharkiv region


According to the head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group, Viktor Trehubov, flooding of areas due to the damaged dam complicated the deployment of Russian brigades and reduced their combat readiness after the explosion of the structure.


“Some Russian brigades are indeed in a tough spot, as the actual areas of their advance and accumulation have been flooded. This affected their combat readiness. And this fact is undoubtedly positive, as the overall situation in the direction is complex,” emphasized Trehubov.

Although Russian troops are trying to break through to Vovchansk, their attempts have so far not succeeded. At the same time, part of the Russian forces is engaged in other tasks, which may ease the situation for Ukrainian troops.



Negative consequences of flooding for Russian troops


The flooding of the dam in Belgorod complicated supply and reduced the intensity of actions of Russian troops in Kharkiv region. This situation, although not critical, could significantly complicate the coordination of actions due to the inaccessibility of flooded areas.



Emergency situation in Russia after strikes on the dam


As a result of strikes on the dam in Belgorod region, an emergency situation arose in Russia. The damaged bottom outlet and both sluices regulating the water level caused a decrease in water level by one meter.


As a result, flooding of adjacent areas occurred due to water leakage. The commander of the troops, Robert Madyar Brovdi, confirmed the damage to the dam.



The flooding of the dam in Belgorod region has significantly complicated the actions of Russian troops in Kharkiv region, reducing their combat readiness. Such a situation can lead to complications in the actions of the Russian army, especially in terms of supply and coordination under emergency conditions and flooded territories.
