The units of the State Emergency Service continue rescue operations in the destroyed 9-story building in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, which was damaged as a result of a Russian strike. The difficulty of the task lies in the fact that the damage occurred on the 5th-6th floors, where heavy machinery cannot be used. Rescuers are carrying out work exclusively with the use of hand tools.
The head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Andriy Danyk, confirmed this information during a broadcast of the telethon 'Unified News'. 'Our search and rescue operations are ongoing, as the rubble is about 1 meter high,' he said. Rescue operations will continue until all those affected are fully rescued.
