From October 1, 2025, residents of the front-line territories in Ukraine will automatically receive compensation for 100 kWh of consumed electricity per person (up to 300 kWh per family). This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.

How Much Is the Compensation for Electricity

Additional payments for electricity will amount to 432 UAH for each family member, with a maximum of 1296 UAH per household.

How to Obtain the 100 kW Electricity Subsidy for Front-Line Residents

Payments started under the Program to Support Front-Line Territories and will be issued by the Pension Fund together with subsidies and benefits, without the need to apply to social protection or submit applications.

The money will help cover expenses for lighting, heating, household appliances, or alternative energy sources, which is especially important in areas of active or possible hostilities. The calculation is simple: the fixed energy norm is multiplied by the tariff, so the amount can be adjusted depending on regional prices.

"For people in front-line territories, every additional hryvnia matters greatly. We understand that due to Russian aggression, conditions for life there are extremely difficult. As part of the Program to Support Front-Line Regions, the system of additional payments for electricity has now started. This will help families cover basic needs — light, heat, and the operation of household appliances. We are working to ensure that everyone feels support at the local level," – said Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Community and Territorial Development.

How Long Will the Electricity Compensation for Front-Line Territories Last

Payments will continue until one of the conditions is met:

  • the family moves out of the dangerous area;

  • loses the right to receive a subsidy or benefit;

  • the status of the area changes to conditionally safe or temporarily occupied.

This is not a one-time action, but rather monthly assistance integrated into the social support system. For Ukrainians in the front line, where energy prices have increased due to shelling, this is a real buffer: according to the Ministry of Reintegration, the program already covers thousands of families in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and other regions.

Previously, we wrote that from October 1, the Pension Fund will recalculate heating subsidies.
