Horrific tragedy in Kostiantynivka: the first minutes after the attack
The National Police of Ukraine reported on the events that took place in the first minutes after the occupiers' attack on the church in Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region. The incident occurred at 10:39 when the attackers dropped a 'FAB-250' bomb on the church where civilians were present.
Two men aged 49 and 56 were killed, while two other men (47 and 74 years) and two women (56 and 62 years) succumbed to their injuries. One of the injured, a younger woman, is in serious condition with traumatic amputation of her arm.
At the scene of the shelling, law enforcement officers found a two-year-old boy. The child was there with his father, a priest. The child's mother died as a result of last week's strike.
The police managed to rescue the wounded and the child during the attack. All the injured were taken to the hospital, and the boy was moved to a shelter. The possibility of evacuating the family to a safe region is also being considered.
Recall that on September 3, Russian occupiers attacked the city using drones and artillery. As a result of these attacks, three women and five men were killed, and six more people were injured.
During the attack on the church in Kostiantynivka, the occupiers committed a terrible tragedy, resulting in the deaths of two people, while the child was saved. The injured were taken to the hospital, and the police are considering the possibility of evacuating the family to a safe place. These events have become part of the escalation of the conflict in Donbas and demonstrate the consequences of the war for the civilian population.
