On the night of September 10, Poland temporarily closed the airspace over Lublin airport and over two airports in Warsaw. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the website for informing aviation services.

The reason for the closure, as in the case of the airport in Rzeszów, was 'unplanned military activity related to ensuring national security'. According to FlightRadar, passenger planes are not registered in the areas of Rzeszów and Lublin, but there is noticeable activity of military aviation.

These measures were taken after Russian strike drones 'Shahed' entered Polish airspace. Poland could have deployed F-16 fighters to shoot down the drones.

The airport in Rzeszów also announced temporary closure until six in the morning. It is noteworthy that around 01:13, Ukrainian military reported the launch of several new groups of Russian drones. Recently, the enemy's activity with the use of drones in the conflict zone has been increasing.

In August 2021, Poland temporarily closed its airspace due to the escape of Belarusian migrant Roman Protasevich, who was detained on board a Ryanair aircraft. This is already the second case in the last month where Poland had to take security measures in the air due to similar circumstances.
