The Ukrainian government continues to support maritime exports and fulfill its role in global food security, despite attacks by Russian forces on ports, energy, and railway infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized this during a meeting with the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine in the Odesa region. The Ukrainian maritime corridor continues to operate amidst military threats, processing millions of tons of cargo, mostly grain, and servicing thousands of vessels.
“The security of Ukrainian ports today is not only an issue for Ukraine's economy. It is a matter of global food security. Despite constant shelling and threats, we maintain the operation of the maritime corridor because we understand our responsibility to the countries that depend on Ukrainian grain.”
Oleksiy Kuleba noted the importance of protecting infrastructure, the safety of port workers, and energy resilience. Additional measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted export operations and safeguard navigation.
