Today, October 20, around 14:00, Russian troops attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Orikhiv direction. The attack occurred in two directions: towards the village of Mala Tokmachka and towards Novoandriivka. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing the Southern Defense Forces.
Destruction of enemy equipment
In total, in the area of responsibility of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade 'Velykyi Luh', aerial reconnaissance recorded the movement of 11 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), one tank, 10 motorcycles, and up to 120 infantry occupiers. As a result of coordinated fire (drones, artillery, infantry), Ukrainian defenders completely destroyed or damaged a significant part of the enemy's equipment,' the report states.
In particular, in the Novoandriivka direction, six AFVs and eight motorcycles were destroyed, while five AFVs and one tank were damaged.
'The total losses of the occupiers' equipment at the junction of the 65th and 118th brigades exceeded 25 units, mostly due to the work of strike drone pilots. The enemy's landing party was unable to reach the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are no losses among the personnel of the 65th brigade, and no positions have been lost. Combat operations to eliminate the remnants of the enemy continue,' emphasized the Defense Forces.
Massive attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
As reported, the enemy continues to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Dobropillia, and over the week conducted two massive attacks in the direction of the villages of Volodymyrivka and Sofiivka. The Defense Forces note that such a large-scale attack in this direction had not occurred for six months, as due to the excess of drones from both sides of the front, equipment is used almost unsuccessfully in battles.
