Strengthening the 'Invincibility Points' Network
In response to the easing of curfew restrictions, the Ukrainian government is implementing new operational changes to enhance its nationwide network of 'Invincibility Points'. These shelters provide critical aid to civilians during emergencies. As of today, 10,676 of these points are already operational across Ukraine, having assisted 130,000 people since the beginning of January, underscoring their vital role in public safety and support.
The network's expansion is being planned based on local population density. Each reinforced point will be capable of operating continuously for over 48 hours, equipped with independent water and power supplies, stable communications, and sleeping quarters if required. An additional three thousand locations are prepared to open if the need arises.
As Yuliia Svyrydenko noted, 'We are strengthening the network of Invincibility Points and regulating their work in the context of the curfew relaxation.'
The Significance of a Growing Network
Expanding this network is a crucial step for safeguarding the population, particularly during adverse conditions. It will enable a faster response to citizens' needs and provide sustained support during difficult periods. This initiative, timed with the curfew easing, highlights the government's commitment to maintaining stability and preparedness for the various challenges facing the country. These shelters have become a cornerstone of Ukraine's civilian resilience infrastructure since the full-scale invasion began.
