Kremlin foreign policy advisor Dmitry Suslov outlined two options for a truce in Ukraine that Vladimir Putin is considering. The first option involves an agreement between Russia and the USA without the participation of Ukraine and Europe, including the withdrawal of troops from certain territories and a commitment from Ukraine not to join NATO.
The second scenario considers the possibility of halting military aid and arms sales to Ukraine if President Zelensky refuses the agreement. However, in this case, it should be noted that Russia expresses readiness for a truce, not only for the final resolution of the conflict but also for the cessation of the war.
'Putin offers Trump a 'convenient exit' from the difficult situation he found himself in due to the threat of sanctions from other countries,' Suslov explained.
Ukraine is in the spotlight during attempts to achieve a truce between Russia and the USA, but the resolution of the conflict may have its repercussions and conditions that require more detailed diplomatic discussions.
