Russia attacked the Odesa region with drones, causing massive fires in warehouses containing textile products and sewing equipment over an area of more than 5,000 sq. m. As a result of these strikes, one person was injured and a car was burned. According to the State Emergency Service, the elimination of the attack's consequences was complicated by high fire loads and the lack of firefighting water supply at the site. Firefighters managed to organize water supply from nearby water sources, but the fire was difficult to extinguish.
Currently, 56 rescuers and 16 units of equipment have been involved in extinguishing the fire. Various services participated in this rescue operation, including the KZ 'CBG Avangard', the firefighting unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, and volunteers.
Unfortunately, this attack was not the only one – on the night of October 9, the occupying army again attacked a DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region. Repairs are underway, as the damage from the attack turned out to be significant, and the company needs time to restore the systems.
Russia's corrupt actions in the Odesa region have again led to serious consequences, increasing the threat to the civilian population and the region's infrastructure. Attacks on energy facilities and fires in warehouses are alarming signals that require an immediate response and safety measures.
