Communication and electronic warfare (EW) specialist Sergey 'Flash' Beskrestnov stated that Russian troops have started to install cameras on their 'Shahed' kamikaze drones. Several such unmanned aerial vehicles were detected among the downed drones, reports 'Glavkom'.
Previously, cameras were used on reconnaissance UAVs of the 'Gerber' type, but now they have also started to be installed on 'shaheds'. The specialist noted that it is still early to talk about the purpose of these cameras, but he believes that the enemy is trying to obtain video footage during the flight of the 'shahed' until the moment of impact.
Attack on energy infrastructure facilities
On the night of August 19, Russian occupation troops carried out an attack on energy infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region using cruise missiles and strike drones. This attack caused large-scale fires, reports 'Glavkom' referring to the Ministry of Energy.
After the attack on Poltava region, unexploded cluster munitions were found in the city of Kremenchuk. This information was confirmed by the city's mayor Vitaliy Maletsky.
Reports that Russian troops have started using cameras on their kamikaze drones and the new attack on energy infrastructure in the Poltava region indicate that the conflict in eastern Ukraine continues, and both sides are developing their technologies and tactics of warfare.
