Russia launched 1000 drones at Ukraine in a week: Zelensky on the scale of the attacks

Зеленський підкреслив масштаби агресії росії, зазначивши, що за тиждень було запущено тисячі безпілотників проти України.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the beginning of restoration works in various regions after the aggressive actions of Russian troops and revealed horrific facts about the air terror they perpetrated over the past week.

According to Zelensky, the Russians launched more than 170 drones into the territory of Ukraine, most of which were of the 'Shahed' type. In total, over the week, more than 1000 attack drones, nearly a thousand guided aerial bombs, and 36 missiles were used against Ukrainians.

Restoration works in various regions

Work is ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. It is noted that effective defense requires a comprehensive approach, including air defense systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, and interceptor drones.

'We are actively working on each component with partners to add protection for Ukraine. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly strengthen our sky defense, our resilience, and our diplomacy,' Zelensky summarized.

Use of bad weather conditions by Russian troops

The Russian army actively uses bad weather, such as rain and fog, to carry out attacks across the entire front line. Analysts see this as an attempt to exploit the weakness of the Ukrainian defense, specifically the inability of Ukrainian drones to operate in adverse weather conditions, exemplified by a recent mechanized assault in the Novopavlivka area.

The Ukrainian president emphasizes the ongoing aggression and the importance of cooperation with partners to support the country's security and protect its citizens.
