Russian forces in the southern direction have changed their tactics of combat operations. They are now actively using prepared sabotage and reconnaissance groups made up of experienced military personnel, instead of mass 'meat' assaults. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Vladislav Voloshin.

'Mass attacks using so-called 'meat' have almost disappeared — the enemy has reoriented to prepared sabotage and reconnaissance groups,' Voloshin noted.

The colonel emphasized that professional Russian units, including highly skilled specialists, are particularly active on the islands near Kherson.

Active Areas and Equipment

The most intense battles in the south are taking place in several key areas, including the Kherson direction, near Kamianske, and in the Hulyaipole and Orikhiv directions. Russian sabotage groups possess the most modern equipment and conduct comprehensive attacks.

'They use the latest reconnaissance equipment, anti-thermal cloaks, and weaponry,' Vladislav Voloshin said.

Despite the change in tactics, Ukrainian defenders effectively resist the enemy, destroying their drones and shelters. This change in strategy indicates that the occupiers are suffering losses and are forced to switch to more cautious, yet more complex methods of combat operations.

As a result, the new tactics of the Russian occupiers involve the active use of prepared sabotage and reconnaissance groups and modern equipment in the southern direction. This compels Ukrainian defenders to seek new ways to confront the enemy and serves as evidence of the occupiers' gradual transition to more complex methods of warfare.
