Attacks on Ukraine's Agricultural Sector
A Russian drone struck a farm in the village of Dvorichnyi Kut, Kharkiv region, causing significant destruction and a fire. The attack resulted in the deaths of approximately 100 pigs and injured a farm worker, a man born in 1967. The information was reported by "Glavkom" citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). These strikes are part of a broader pattern of targeting civilian infrastructure beyond the front lines.
The fire at the farm covered an area of about 40 square meters. Rescue workers, SES sappers, and a community rescue officer worked at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the attack. In a separate incident, Russian forces also struck a farming enterprise in the Chornomorska community, Mykolaiv region, leading to the death of an employee.
Consequences of the Aggression
It is also known that the Russian army carried out a missile strike on the outskirts of a village in the Boromlia community, Sumy region, where agricultural machinery was the target. This attack injured people who were harvesting crops. Ukraine is a major global supplier of grain and agricultural products, making such attacks a concern for international food security.
These incidents underscore the continued aggression against Ukrainian agriculture, which has serious consequences not only for the economy but also for food security in the region.
