Poland allows the presence of NATO troops on its territory

The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, signed a document allowing NATO member state troops to be stationed in the country. The 'Eastern Sentry' operation, initiated after the incident with Russian drones that violated Poland's airspace on September 10, has received the green light.

According to the Polish National Security Bureau, the resolution signed by the president encompasses the deployment of NATO forces as part of a new defensive mission.

The aim of the resolution is to strengthen Poland's defense capabilities

Officials from the Bureau emphasized that the adopted resolution is of a confidential nature, however, its primary goal is to ensure the safety of the country amid growing threats from Russia.

It should be noted that air alerts have been declared in Poland and Romania due to the threat of 'Shaheds'.

Poland's move to allow NATO troops on its territory is a response to the incident with Russian drones and the security threat from Russia. It aims to strengthen the country's defense capabilities in the context of geopolitical tensions in the region.
