How AI Built a 300-Person Team in Two Years: Bondarenko's Automation Strategy

Команда з 300 фахівців за два роки: Стратегія автоматизації від Бондаренка.

AI's Transformative Role in Business Operations

IT entrepreneur Serhiy Bondarenko has detailed how artificial intelligence is being deployed to automate business processes. He cited the example of a department within a Ukrainian company that expanded to over 300 employees in just two years. Bondarenko noted that while AI has been a prominent technology for three years, it has yet to fundamentally alter mass consumer behavior on a broad scale. This perspective highlights the current gap between AI's operational utility and its consumer-facing impact.

The business process optimization unit, which serves logistics and retail companies, was established two and a half years ago and now employs more than 300 people. Various AI tools are used to automate these workflows. Bondarenko emphasized that AI's most significant impact is on operational processes, where businesses have many repetitive, monotonous tasks that were previously handled by people.

'In business, we consistently encounter numerous processes that are repetitive and monotonous. These were once done by people but can now be automated with artificial intelligence, which performs them much faster.' Serhiy Bondarenko

Bondarenko also provided a specific example where a client observed a process that previously required 40 people now running automatically. 'You show the client: Look, we've improved this process. They see that yes, 40 people were once dedicating part of their time to this, and now it operates with no human involvement at all. It's resolved automatically without them,' the entrepreneur added.

However, according to Bondarenko, AI has not yet made a substantial impact on changing consumer behavior in the marketing sphere. 'For marketing, for altering some behavioral model—I don't see artificial intelligence having a strong influence on that yet. We still order services with buttons in a mobile app the same way we always have,' he noted.

In conclusion, Bondarenko expressed skepticism about AI's widespread integration into daily life, stating that despite the technology existing for three years, it hasn't become part of users' everyday routines. 'I don't know, maybe you've seen somewhere that people use AI to book appointments... No? Me neither. And yet it's been around for three years. So for some reason, it hasn't entered our daily lives. But internally, under the hood of a business for process automation, it's used very frequently,' he summarized.

The Future Trajectory of Artificial Intelligence

The application of artificial intelligence in business processes is becoming increasingly relevant as companies seek to optimize operations and reduce costs. However, despite significant progress in this field, consumer behavior remains stable, indicating the technology has yet to reach its full potential in users' everyday lives. Therefore, it is crucial to continue research and development in AI to understand how it might influence various aspects of life and business in the future. The ongoing challenge is to bridge the gap between powerful back-end automation and tangible front-end user experiences.
