Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky visited the Pokrovsk direction and noted that neither warring side controls the city of Pokrovsk nor encircles the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the commander's post.
He emphasized that the successful resolution of the conflict in the operational area depends on cooperation and interaction between military management, units, and subunits involved in hostilities.
Main tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk direction
'The Pokrovsk direction is key in the context of opposing the enemy. Here the most assault actions take place, here a significant part of the enemy grouping is concentrated, which operates on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy is trying to take advantage of the difficult weather conditions,' the commander-in-chief emphasized. The main tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain the gradual control of certain areas, support and protection of the existing logistics routes, as well as the organization of additional ones to ensure our defenders have everything necessary and to evacuate the wounded without interruption, he stressed.
'In the approaches and urban development, ongoing battles with small enemy groups continue, less frequently - the destruction of the enemy's light equipment. The military is doing everything possible to prevent enemy movement and consolidation,' he added.
