The Russian army is increasingly using assault units on Chinese motorcycles to inflict damage behind Ukrainian forces. The use of this tactic gives motorcyclists an advantage in speed and maneuverability, complicating their interception by drones and artillery. Nonetheless, many of them have died before reaching their goal; however, even individual breakthroughs force Ukrainians to spend resources to eliminate them.
'Essentially, it is a suicide mission because they never return,' says Yevgeny, a lieutenant-captain of the 28th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian soldiers also use motorcycles, primarily for troop transportation, and sometimes use electric motorcycles to avoid detection by enemy drones. Due to the large number of drones, they are forced to move more on foot and receive supplies through air and ground carrier drones.
Motorcycles have become an important component of military operations in the Pokrovsky district, where the conflict is gaining more scale and significance. This tactic has become one of the defining factors in modern combat activity on this tense front.
