Weather Forecast for Ukraine on July 3
A cold atmospheric front is set to bring a dramatic shift in conditions across much of the country on July 3. Most regions can expect brief downpours and thunderstorms, while only the eastern areas will stay dry. Due to sharp temperature contrasts and lingering heat, these storms may be accompanied by strong gusts of wind.
In western regions—including Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia oblasts—daytime highs will drop to between +24 and +29 degrees Celsius. Elsewhere across Ukraine, temperatures will still climb to +30 to +34 degrees. In Kyiv, the forecast for July 3 calls for short-lived thunderstorms with rain and possible squalls, as the capital’s thermometer exceeds +30 degrees. By July 4, the temperature in Kyiv is expected to fall to around +27 degrees.
Extreme Weather Events

The upcoming weather change on July 3 is a key development amid recent extreme conditions. While the rain and storms could help replenish water supplies in drought-affected areas, the potential for squalls also poses safety risks. Forecasters continue to urge caution as the weather transitions.
