Budget-2025: 42 billion for subsidies and salary increases for teachers

Уряд планує виділити 42 мільярди на підвищення зарплат та підтримку освітян у 2025 році.

In the budget for the next two years, nearly 42.3 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for subsidies. This was reported by Member of Parliament Lesya Zaburanna, Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Budget Committee.

'Despite the war, despite the fact that our budget is deficit, we have allocated funds to support those who need it, both in 2025 and 2026. This concerns nearly 43 billion hryvnias for subsidies that are intended to help and support about 2.7 million households during the heating season.'

Zaburanna also noted that the budget for next year includes a salary increase for teachers and improvements in social protection, particularly pensions.

'The budget draft submitted by the government provides for a 30% salary increase for teachers in January and 20% in September. There is an initiative from Members of Parliament to raise the amount to three minimum wages. This applies not only to teachers but also to researchers and professors of higher education institutions.'

The Government of Ukraine plans to allocate significant funds for subsidies for households in the coming years, as well as to increase salaries for teachers and improve social protection, particularly pensions. These steps are aimed at alleviating the financial burden for citizens during the heating season and improving working conditions in the education sector.
