Ukrenergo tariff will rise by 15%: what this threatens green energy

Підвищення тарифів на електрику може негативно вплинути на розвиток відновлювальної енергетики в Україні.

An energy expert noted that the tariff for electricity transmission should be economically justified and comply with legislative requirements. The calculation of costs to support electricity producers from renewable sources must also be justified and based on realistic figures.

The issue of debts to producers of 'green' energy remains unresolved. This may lead to new lawsuits, increased debt pressure, and a decrease in Ukraine's investment attractiveness.

The expert emphasized that creating a new deficit in financing special obligations could negatively affect the country. He stressed that the obligations imposed on NEC 'Ukrenergo' by law should have sufficient financial backing for their execution.

According to the Regulator, the tariff for electricity transmission may increase to UAH 786.74/MWh (+14.6%), for green metallurgy to UAH 428.63/MWh (+19.2%), and the dispatch management tariff to UAH 110.15/MWh.
