Heating and hot water tariffs in Kyiv remain unchanged: figures and details

Тарифи на опалення та гарячу воду в Києві залишилися на тому ж рівні: основні цифри і інформація.

Stability of tariffs for thermal energy and hot water

KP 'Kyivteploenergo' confirmed that tariffs for thermal energy and hot water for the population of Kyiv remain unchanged throughout the current heating season. The cost of a gigacalorie of heat is 1654.41 UAH, and the cost of a cubic meter of hot water is 97.89 UAH. This decision is important for the residents of the capital, as tariffs have not increased for six years.

As of today, over 90% of apartment buildings in Kyiv are equipped with building meters, which allows for more accurate accounting of heat and hot water consumption. This positively affects tariff formation and ensures fairness in the distribution of costs among residents.

Different categories of buildings and their accounting

Tariffs for thermal energy and hot water remain stable, which is important in conditions of economic uncertainty. Currently, there are different categories of buildings in the city that may have different accounting systems. For example, buildings may be:

  • with a general building meter (without apartment meters),
  • with a general meter and apartment meters,
  • or without a building meter.

This affects the accounting of resource consumption and, accordingly, the billing for residents.

Thus, keeping heating and hot water tariffs at the previous level is an important step towards ensuring stability in the housing and communal sector of Kyiv.

The stability of heating and hot water tariffs in Kyiv can contribute to reducing the financial burden on residents, especially in the context of economic challenges faced by the country. This decision also reflects the commitment of local authorities to support social stability and accessibility of communal services. In conditions where many Ukrainians face rising prices for other vital resources, unchanged tariffs can be an important factor in maintaining the standard of living in the capital.
