The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced that men aged 25 to 60 who were previously not registered will be automatically included in military registration. According to the new rules, territorial recruitment and social support centers will have access to various information about these citizens.
Lawyer Kateryna Anishchenko explained that information from the demographic register about the place of registration and educational institutions will be used to include citizens in the list of those liable for military service. Employers are also required to cooperate with recruitment centers to verify the data.
'If there is no other data in the 'Reserve+' application, the man will be registered at the registered address,' the lawyer emphasized.
It is important that the registration address matches the actual place of residence; otherwise, there may be a conflict with the law. If necessary, territorial recruitment centers may even gain access to citizens' medical documents, which has caused outrage among some experts.
The data collection system is also expected to cover information about education, health, and marital status, which can be obtained from employers and banks. Recently, the possibility of amnesty for draft evaders in Ukraine has been considered.
