Ukraine is expected to experience a sharp cooling and a large amount of snow during the winter period of 2026. According to renowned meteorologist Vazira Martazinova, the Arctic center is very active this year and covers a larger area, leading to cool weather conditions in our country.
According to the expert's forecast, sharp cooling is expected in the last week of November and will last until early December. The temperature could drop to -9 to -12 degrees at night, while during the day it will be around 0 degrees. Significant snowfall is also predicted, especially in the spring and December.
Next, strong precipitation is expected, with a significant drop in air temperature. The meteorologist also emphasized that for the New Year celebration, Ukrainians should prepare for wet snow and during the day the temperature will be between +3 and +5 degrees.
Overall, it is expected that the winter of 2026 in Ukraine will be cool, with a lot of snow and frosts, but without extremely low temperatures.
