U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at a briefing that secondary sanctions against Russia could be imposed earlier than planned. He did not rule out the possibility of their implementation before the established deadline.
In response to reporters' questions, he said: 'We are considering the whole situation. We may have to impose secondary sanctions.' Trump also emphasized that the planned meeting between the President of Ukraine and Russia was supposed to take place earlier.
Turkish leader Erdogan continues to support the idea of organizing a meeting between Trump and Putin on Turkish territory. He plans to conduct telephone consultations with both leaders this week to discuss the possibility of holding such a summit in Istanbul.
