The state of bankruptcy in Ukraine in 2025
In 2025, Ukraine recorded 8,191 companies that are in the process of termination or changing their mode of operation, of which 780 initiated bankruptcy procedures. Among the declared bankrupts are large businesses with revenues in the billions of hryvnias.
According to the data, 84% of the companies that declared bankruptcy are limited liability companies (LLCs). Only 48 enterprises dared to undergo the rehabilitation procedure, which is less than 1% of the total number of bankrupts. The largest bankruptcy case was the company 'DEGS HOLDING' with a revenue of 7.73 billion UAH. The second place was taken by 'PRIDE SOLUTIONS UKRAINE' with a revenue of 6.08 billion UAH, while the third place went to 'OPT-SYSTEMS' with a revenue of 5.46 billion UAH.
The impact of bankruptcies on the economy
Additionally, 266 enterprises in the wholesale trade sector became bankrupt, indicating significant losses in this industry. Kyiv has the highest number of bankruptcies — 140 companies, while Zaporizhzhia region ranks second with 138 companies. Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Odesa region also have a significant number of bankruptcies, with figures of 86, 85, and 53 respectively.
