France firmly rejects Russia's demand for the demilitarization of Ukraine and insists on strengthening its defense potential. As stated by the Minister for Europe Benjamin Haddad in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche, the best guarantee of security is a strong Ukrainian army, not its weakening.

The Minister also noted that France is ready to play an active role in shaping security guarantees. He positively assessed the signal from Donald Trump, who expressed his readiness to join in providing them.
