Logistics and warehousing services have become the leaders in the growth rate of salaries in Poland. In May, the average pay in the sector increased by 8.1% over the year and reached 9,522 zlotys gross. This outpaces the dynamics of most major sectors of the economy. This is reported by NV Business.
Salaries in Poland: where they pay the most
Among the sectors surveyed, the highest average salary is in the manufacturing of other transportation equipment: 10,482 zlotys gross. Over the year, it has grown by 7.1%.
Logistics is in second place in terms of pay with a figure of 9,522 zlotys, but ranks first in terms of the pace of increase. In construction, the average salary is 8,913 zlotys, in food production it is 7,704 zlotys.
The lowest average amounts were recorded in the hospitality and catering sector, 6,783 zlotys, as well as in the light industry, 6,602 zlotys. All figures are presented before tax payments.

Why wages in Polish logistics are rising faster
Analysts explain the situation by the growing demand for warehouse infrastructure and personnel shortages. According to Colliers, in the first quarter of 2026, gross demand for warehouse space in Poland increased by more than 40% year-on-year.
Companies have to compete for drivers, warehouse workers, pickers, equipment operators, and other specialists. This is why employers in logistics are actively reviewing their rates.
The manufacturing of transportation equipment is also seeing wage increases due to growing orders, particularly in the defense sector. Conversely, in food, furniture, and automotive industries, salaries are rising more cautiously due to weaker production indicators.
Overall, the average salary in the Polish business sector in May amounted to 9,173.24 zlotys gross, which is 5.8% more than the year before. GUS data covers enterprises with at least 10 employees and therefore does not reflect the entire labor market.
It is worth noting that in Poland they want to impose a 30-year sentence for violations in the army.
