Estonia continues to provide financial support to the Ukrainian energy sector ahead of winter, when Russian attacks on the energy system become increasingly systematic. The country's Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna, announced the allocation of 150,000 euros to support Ukrainian energy workers.
'We are now allocating 150,000 euros to support the energy system and the Energy Support Fund,' emphasized the Estonian diplomat. At the same time, he highlighted that Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure continue, endangering the civilian population.
It is worth noting that this is not the first instance of Estonia providing assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector. Earlier, the Tallinn authorities transferred approximately 700,000 euros for the restoration and support of the energy system in Ukraine. Thus, the total amount of Estonian aid to Ukrainian energy has already exceeded 850,000 euros, which is significant amid Russia's attempts to undermine the country's energy security before the coldest period of the year.
