Ukraine received 170 million euros for housing programs from the Council of Europe Development Bank during the international conference URC-2025 on Wednesday. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko on her Telegram channel.
Two key funding areas
70 million euros will go to the HOME project, which will help 4,000 families acquire new housing instead of destroyed ones. Priority will be given to defenders, people with disabilities, and large families.
'Thanks to the project, over 7,600 Ukrainians have already received new housing, and a total of 24,300 Ukrainian families have received housing certificates,' Svyrydenko noted.
The remaining 100 million euros will be used to support internally displaced persons, including for accommodation, housing, children's education, and integration into communities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the housing sector remains one of the most affected areas. 'More than 135,000 families have already taken advantage of the eRecovery program and received compensation for repairing damaged housing or purchasing new housing,' the head of government added.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to European partners for their assistance in restoring housing conditions for Ukrainian families.
