Ukraine has received another tranche from the European Union amounting to 1 billion euros from frozen Russian assets. This was reported on the Ministry of Finance's page, as conveyed by 'Hvylya'.

This payment is the eighth under the G7 program named ERA (Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine). So far, Ukraine has received 10 billion euros from the EU under this program. It is planned that the remaining funds will be disbursed gradually throughout 2025.

The ERA program is aimed at providing Ukraine with a total of 50 billion US dollars in aid. The European Union's contribution amounts to 18.1 billion euros (20 billion US dollars).

Since the start of the full-scale war in February 2022, the EU has become the main source of direct budget support for Ukraine, allocating 58.5 billion euros to cover priority items of the state budget. Only in the first eight months of 2025, Ukraine received more than 16.5 billion euros from the European Union.

Earlier, the 'Coalition of the Resolute' made a decision regarding rockets for Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the war in 2022, the European Union has been actively supporting Ukraine financially. This new tranche from the EU amounting to 1 billion euros is only part of the total amount of aid that Ukraine is to receive under the ERA program. This demonstrates the European Union's support for Ukraine amid the war and strengthens the European backing of the country in its efforts towards safety and stability.
