The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine plans to strengthen cooperation with Germany in the field of housing and spatial planning. In particular, the intention to restore cities and villages is one of the priorities of this cooperation.
'Housing is the foundation for bringing people back home, for community life and economic recovery. More than 300 thousand houses have been destroyed or damaged, 4.6 million are internally displaced persons, and the needs for restoration reach 80 billion USD. We already have the first results in housing recovery, and we plan to scale these efforts by 2026, including with the support of the German government.'
One way to restore housing in Ukraine is the compensation program for damaged or destroyed housing called eRestoration, which has already helped many families receive assistance. It is also important to quickly attract funds and urban planning procedures, as well as to develop a system of social housing.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Community and Territorial Development actively cooperates with the German government for housing recovery and land planning, particularly through the eRestoration compensation program and other measures aimed at improving the living conditions of residents and restoring infrastructure.
