Demand for labor in Poland
In the first half of 2025, Ukrainians were actively searching for jobs in Poland, particularly in logistics and packaging sectors, indicating a clear shortage of labor in these areas. According to reports, nearly 49% of candidates found employment in warehouses and logistics centers. This trend highlights the growing demand for labor in the logistics sector in Poland.
Furthermore, Ukrainians were looking for jobs in the agricultural sector, particularly in food processing, which accounts for 11.2% of all candidates. Unskilled labor in the industry occupied 9.96% of the labor market, while technical unskilled jobs made up 9.5%. An important segment is also meat and fish processing, where 9.47% of candidates found jobs. Seasonal work represents only 2.1% of the overall structure of company clients, indicating a steady interest in longer-term vacancies.
Deficient professions and requirements
Among the most deficient professions in the labor market in Poland are:
- Workers in meat processing and disassembly in the food industry
- Truck and bus drivers
- Technical specialists, welders, locksmiths, and forklift drivers
Anna Jobolda noted that these vacancies already require knowledge of the Polish language, experience in similar positions in Poland or abroad, as well as the ability to organize production processes and manage teams. This emphasizes the importance of preparing candidates for the requirements of the labor market in Poland.
Thus, Ukrainians continue to seek employment opportunities in Poland, especially in areas where there is the highest labor shortage.
This situation reflects changes in the labor market in Poland, where the demand for labor is growing amid economic development. On the one hand, it opens up additional opportunities for Ukrainian workers seeking stable jobs abroad, while on the other hand, it requires them to have the necessary preparation and knowledge. Given the forecasts for Poland's economic growth, further increases in labor demand can be expected, which may prompt Ukrainians to continue their job searches in this country.
