BLOOM Program Opens Applications for Its Second Year

Applications are now being accepted for the second year of the BLOOM program, an initiative designed to assist individuals, businesses, and communities affected by war. This program targets a wide range of participants, including:

  • Self-employed individuals
  • Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Startup entrepreneurs
  • Internally displaced persons (IDPs)
  • Veterans (both men and women)
  • Community members living in regions with active or past hostilities

The program offers tiered grant funding for different participant categories. Self-employed individuals can receive grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, while microbusinesses (registered as sole proprietors) are eligible for $1,000 to $5,000. For small and medium-sized enterprises, grants range from $17,000 to $30,000.

Beyond financial aid, participants gain access to training, consulting, and career development programs to help grow their businesses and enhance personal skills. Details and the application link are available in the comments.

Why the BLOOM Program Matters

The launch of BLOOM’s second year underscores ongoing efforts to rebuild the economy and support those impacted by conflict. This initiative plays a vital role in strengthening socio-economic ties within communities that have endured the hardships of war, while also fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment.

Grants and training programs can provide essential support for those looking to restore their businesses or pursue new ventures in the context of post-war recovery.

In addition to the BLOOM program's support, veterans can also explore opportunities for financial assistance tailored specifically for their entrepreneurial ventures. As highlighted in a recent article, veterans are eligible for grants of up to 1 million hryvnias without tax obligations, providing a significant boost for those looking to establish or expand their businesses. This dual approach to funding underscores the commitment to empowering diverse groups within the community during these challenging times.
