Emergency power outages in Ukraine may last for a week
According to the head of 'Ukrenergo' Vitaliy Zaichenko, emergency power outages in Ukraine may last for a week. He noted that stabilization of the situation with electricity is expected during this period, but emergency outages during peak consumption periods may occur in certain regions.
'Russians have changed their tactics of strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and are now trying to gradually render the system unfit for operation. They are learning and attempting to bring our energy sector to a state that will be unfit for operation.'
'Daily shelling occurs at each of Ukrenergo's substations. Every day there are a significant number of drones attempting to simply erase our facilities from the face of the earth.'
New attacks and restoration of damaged facilities
New attacks on energy facilities have become regular. The head of 'Ukrenergo' is confident that energy workers are ready for the rapid restoration of damaged facilities. At night, the invaders again launched drone strikes on energy facilities. Let's remember that recently the Russian Federation carried out a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and now the import of electricity into the country is possible due to hostile attacks.
Ukraine is facing difficulties in the electricity supply sector due to new attacks and attempts to bring the country's energy system to a state unfit for operation, carried out by the invaders. The situation remains tense, but the authorities and energy sector workers are working to restore damaged facilities to ensure stable electricity supply for the country.
