NAZK and NATO Discussed Integrity Reform in the Defense Sector: What Will Change

During a meeting at the National Agency for Corruption Prevention, the results of the work of state structures in the framework of the tasks set by the Initial Requirement of NATO regarding the development of integrity were discussed. Participants also shared best practices in this area aimed at implementing international security and defense standards.



“Today's meeting emphasizes that joint efforts contribute to achieving effective results in such a complex and important area as the development of integrity and corruption prevention,” said the Head of the National Agency Viktor Pavlushchik.


Marta Ivashkiv, acting head of the Integrity Policy Formation Department in the field of security and defense of NAZK, presented the progress of the activities of bodies belonging to the security and defense sector in implementing the tasks of the Initial Requirement 0204.



  • implementation of anti-corruption legislation in the field of defense and security;

  • implementation of comprehensive anti-corruption programs that include NATO recommendations for developing integrity;

  • conducting training courses and educational programs for the development of integrity.



Marta Ivashkiv emphasized that NAZK is not only a coordinator in the implementation of the tasks of the Initial Requirement 0204, but is also actively involved in their implementation. Currently, the agency has identified priority projects for developing integrity in the field of security and defense.



“The formation of integrity requires coordination of efforts and close interaction of all involved participants. I want to thank for organizing this event, which will undoubtedly contribute to the proper implementation of the tasks set by NATO's Initial Requirement 0204. On our part, we confirm our readiness for cooperation and the involvement of necessary resources to ensure the proper implementation of the tasks set,” emphasized the representative of NATO headquarters Joachim Frendin.


The NAZK meeting was dedicated to discussing the results of the work of state structures in the field of integrity and corruption prevention. They reviewed progress in implementing international standards and best practices aimed at improving the situation in this important area. Participants emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination of efforts to achieve successful results.
