During the consideration of the state budget project for 2026, a new amendment was adopted, which expands financial support for internally displaced persons. Now, one billion hryvnias more will be allocated for this purpose. They also planned to allocate 500 million hryvnias to provide housing for displaced persons in rural areas, as reported by the press service of the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

People's Deputy Maksym Tkachенко emphasized that increasing spending in the budget to support internally displaced persons is extremely important, as the war in Ukraine has been ongoing for the twelfth year. He also expressed the opinion that compensation for lost housing should be provided not only to displaced persons but also to those Ukrainians who lost their cities, destroyed as a result of the war.
Increased assistance for internally displaced persons in the state budget for the next year is an important step towards improving the living conditions of people who have suffered due to the war. Supporting such initiatives demonstrates attention to the needs and problems of this vulnerable population group in Ukraine.
