High Anti-Corruption Court Issues Acquittal
On July 14, 2026, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine acquitted a former deputy head of a regional branch of the state railway company Ukrzaliznytsia (the South-Western Railway division). However, the defense submitted a separate report from the same institution that contradicted these findings, denying any losses.

Given the conflicting expert opinions, the court ordered a new comprehensive forensic examination at a different state institution. Although the study took over a year, the experts were unable to confirm or refute the existence of losses. During the hearings, the prosecutor dropped the charges, while the victim, Ukrzaliznytsia, continued to press them independently. Ultimately, the court delivered an acquittal.
