Unfortunately, the Ukrainian journalism has once again lost a great talent. In August, photo reporter and director Dmytro Stoykov passed away. He had been battling brain cancer for 11 years, but the operation performed in 2022 did not help him fully overcome this ailment.

The farewell to the media worker will take place in Kyiv on October 10 at 13:30 at Baikove Cemetery in the ritual hall near the crematorium.

Additionally, on October 8, a memorial event for Oleksii Shalaisky, co-founder of the 'Our Money' portal and outstanding journalist, was held in Kyiv. He passed away on October 4 due to heart disease. Shalaisky was known for his principled stance in exposing political corruption and opaque schemes in power.

These two losses have been a real blow to the Ukrainian journalistic community, but the legacy of Dmytro Stoykov and Oleksii Shalaisky lives on in their creativity and influence on Ukrainian society.
