Zelensky at the Staff: Ukraine Expands Long-Range Strikes on Russia

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff to expand the long-range capabilities of the Ukrainian army. Representatives from defense enterprises and military personnel responsible for the use of weapons participated in the event.



According to Zelensky, the participants discussed the effectiveness of long-range strikes over the past period and the results achieved. The President noted on social media: 'Russian 'refining' is already paying a significant price for the war and will pay an even greater one.'


At the meeting, tasks were set to expand the geography of the application of Ukrainian long-range systems. The conclusion of long-term contracts with weapon manufacturers was also discussed.



Plans for the Future


According to the conclusions of the meeting, three-year contracts will allow manufacturers to better plan resource usage and supply to Ukrainian troops. An increase in the number of such agreements is planned.



The participants of the Staff also discussed the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure and energy facilities. New needs for air defense systems were identified as a result of the meeting.


Zelensky emphasized the importance of active work by Ukrainian diplomacy with partners to obtain specific air defense systems. The President stressed that Ukraine's partners have the necessary systems, and it is important for Ukrainian diplomacy to prepare the appropriate solutions.



As a result of the meeting, paths were identified to expand the capabilities of the Ukrainian army in carrying out long-range strikes and to increase its effectiveness in the face of external aggression. Additionally, the importance of cooperation with partners to obtain necessary air defense systems was noted.
