The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, participated in a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, where issues of energy security and social support for citizens were discussed. The government allocated 1.5 billion hryvnias to protect energy facilities in frontline regions from Russian strikes. A reserve of equipment for the prompt restoration of energy supply was also formed.
Zelensky noted that the government plans to adopt a resolution that will extend the fixed gas price for the population. A decision was also made to impose a moratorium on disconnecting consumers in frontline communities from electricity. The President emphasized the importance of supporting communities that are experiencing difficult times.
During the meeting on energy security and social support, the President of Ukraine and the government adopted a number of measures to protect energy facilities in frontline regions and maintain gas prices for the population, which will contribute to improving the lives of citizens amid escalating conflict.
