Ukrainian President’s Address

In a video address on June 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Belarusian authorities about the consequences of their potential involvement in the war. Ukraine has identified four repeaters installed on Belarusian territory in the Gomel and Brest regions, equipment that helps Russia launch drone strikes on Ukrainian soil. These attacks have targeted the Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions, as well as energy infrastructure and railways. Zelenskyy delivered an ultimatum demanding the removal of this hardware.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy: 'It is precisely because of such equipment that strikes were carried out on the Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions—on our energy grid, our railways, our ordinary cities, and our villages.'

He emphasized that Belarus still has time to dismantle these devices and called on its leadership to take concrete steps so that Ukraine can see real actions from Belarus against the war. 'Unfortunately, this helps Russia adapt to pressure and does not bring peace any closer,' Zelenskyy added.

Fuel Supplies and Their Impact on the Conflict

According to data, gasoline shipments from Belarus to Russia between January and May this year surged 13-fold compared to the same period last year, while diesel fuel deliveries tripled. Zelenskyy also noted that 'every enterprise supplying components for Russian weapons—armored vehicles, missile systems—and every business providing fuel to Russia for the war is dragging Belarus into the conflict.'

Previously, Zelenskyy had issued an ultimatum to Alexander Lukashenko regarding military equipment near the Ukrainian border. In response, the self-proclaimed Belarusian president stated that his country would not enter the war against Ukraine and called for complete nuclear disarmament of all nations. Lukashenko also apologized to Zelenskyy.

These developments highlight rising tensions between Ukraine and Belarus, especially amid Belarus’s deepening military cooperation with Russia. As the war continues, any direct Belarusian involvement in Russian operations could have serious consequences for Ukraine’s security and the broader region. Ukraine must sustain international efforts to counter aggression and safeguard its territorial integrity.

In light of these developments, it is crucial to consider the advancements in Ukrainian defense capabilities, particularly with the introduction of Fire Point drones, which can now strike targets up to 3,000 km away. This enhancement in military technology may significantly impact the ongoing conflict and Ukraine's strategic response to threats from neighboring countries.
