The Ukrainian Parliament has dismissed the government of Yulia Svyrydenko, but the authorities did not publicly explain the reasons for this decision. People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that the dismissal of the Prime Minister occurred without a complete report on the Cabinet's work, and in the coming days, new personnel reshuffles may await the country.
Resignation of Svyrydenko's government: what Zheleznyak said
According to the deputy, Yulia Svyrydenko explained her resignation statement during the meeting of the relevant committee solely by stating that the president sees the need for a government renewal. No other reasons or information about her future appointment were mentioned.
Zheleznyak pointed out that instead of a full report, the government presented a presentation of its achievements. In his opinion, some of the reforms presented in it were implemented even before Svyrydenko's appointment or were the result of the parliament's work rather than that of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The deputy also questioned the logic of the government's resignation.
«If you believe that the government is functioning normally, then why are you dismissing it? If not, then explain to society what exactly was the reason for such a decision», – he noted.
New personnel changes: who might be appointed after the resignation
Zheleznyak reported that final personnel decisions have not yet been made. According to him, after the return of the President of Ukraine, there could be new appointments in the government and law enforcement agencies.
Among the possible scenarios, the deputy mentioned the appointment of Yulia Svyrydenko as the head of the President's Office, personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economy, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Bureau of Investigations.
At the same time, he emphasized that these options are still under discussion, and final decisions may change.
In Zheleznyak's opinion, the main problem remains the lack of clear explanations regarding the reasons for the government's resignation and the plan for further actions of the new executive power.
Earlier, Zheleznyak announced a crackdown on corrupt officials due to EU demands and 90 billion euros.
