Fundraising Success and Gratitude

According to МЗС: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has expressed his gratitude to volunteers from the Polish initiative 'Warmth from Poland for Kyiv' for their fundraising efforts. This remarkable display of solidarity and support raised over 7.5 million Polish złoty, equivalent to more than 2 million euros. This grassroots campaign highlights the powerful role of citizen-led aid in supporting Ukraine during a time of immense need.

The Significance of International Solidarity

The funds were used to purchase and deliver 130 generators to Kyiv, crucial equipment for maintaining power supply amidst the severe challenges facing the city. Andrii Sybiha emphasized that the solidarity shown by Polish society is an integral part of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland. He stated that such support not only complements intergovernmental cooperation but also strengthens the people-to-people bonds between Ukrainians and Poles.

This initiative demonstrates how collective efforts can have a significant impact on people's lives during difficult times. The Foreign Minister's thanks to the volunteers underscores the vital importance of international support for Ukraine and highlights the role of civic initiatives in providing essential aid.

Amidst ongoing military aggression and an energy crisis exacerbated by external factors, support from international partners, as seen with the 'Warmth from Poland for Kyiv' campaign, is critically important for sustaining Ukrainian cities. Such actions not only provide necessary resources but also fortify friendly ties between nations, which in turn contributes to stability and recovery in the region.
