Анжеліка Рудницька розповідає про Дизель: чому Green Grey уникали української мови у своїх піснях у 90-х.

On Thursday, October 23, a farewell ceremony and funeral for Andriy Dyzel Yatsenko, the founder and leader of the band Green Grey, took place. The musician passed away on October 20 from heart failure caused by ischemic heart disease. He was 55 years old. Among those present at the ceremony were representatives of the Ukrainian show business, including Anzhelika Rudnitska, the head of 'Territory A'.

Anzhelika recalls that her acquaintance with Andriy Yatsenko and Dmytro Muravytsky was already in the 1990s. Their first joint appearance in a television interview took place on her television electronic show. Rudnitska emphasizes that the language has always been the main topic of their discussions, and Green Grey decided to record Ukrainian versions of their songs, including the song 'Under the Rain'.

“I argued with them from time to time, but I am glad that they eventually switched to the Ukrainian language after the war began. For me, the best are the Ukrainian versions of their songs, such as 'Emigrant'. - said Rudnitska.

The farewell to Dyzel Yatsenko took place at the Cinema House of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, where the musician was sent on his last journey. After that, his body was taken to the crematorium at Baikove Cemetery.

Andriy Dyzel Yatsenko, the leader of the band Green Grey, died from heart failure at the age of 55. Due to his loss, the Ukrainian music scene has lost a prominent artist and activist who sought to promote Ukrainian-language music and instill patriotism among his fans. Eternal memory!
