Statement from Iran's Foreign Minister

According to Главком: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the country's senior leadership was not harmed in the US-Israeli attack that occurred on February 28. He confirmed that while the strike resulted in the deaths of some high-ranking officials and military commanders, key figures within the Iranian government survived. This attack is part of a long-standing, tense standoff between Iran and its adversaries in the region.

Senior Officials Confirmed Safe

Specifically, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, the parliament speaker, and the secretary of the National Security Council were not injured. Abbas Araghchi emphasized that

'all high-ranking officials are alive, and the secretary of the National Security Council is as well. Therefore, everyone is currently in their place, we are managing the situation, and all is well.'

In related developments, Iran's exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi made a statement on his social media page on X, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reacted to the events in the Middle East. Details of these reactions, however, were not provided.

Consequently, the situation in Iran remains tense, but the country's official representatives assure that the leadership is safe and continues to perform its duties.

The statement from Iran's foreign minister highlights the government's attempts to reassure the public following recent attacks, which have raised concerns about the stability of the political situation in the country. The reaction of the international community, including statements from other leaders, may point to potential further diplomatic or military actions in the region, requiring close observation by analysts and policymakers.
