According to Главком: As of January 14, emergency power outages are being implemented in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. Some retail chains report potential closures, but most continue to operate as usual. Among the stores that have not changed their operating schedule are the chains 'Avrora', 'Fora', 'Ekomarket', and 'Varus'.
The 'Avrora' store chain confirmed that the information circulating on social media about the mass closure of their retail outlets is not true. All 'Fora' stores are also operating normally, and their press service noted that they constantly monitor the situation with energy supply and adapt the operations of the stores to current conditions. 'Ekomarket' stores offer their customers the opportunity to charge gadgets, which is an important service under current conditions.
All supermarkets of the 'Varus' chain are operating as usual and are equipped with generators, allowing them to maintain operations even during power outages. Additionally, in Chernihiv, it was reported that some 'Silpo' stores have started working according to modified schedules, although the company's press service emphasized that the information about mass closures is not true.
